Business Analyst — Public Sector / SAP / Enterprise IT

About the Role

JAPR Inc. is hiring Business Analysts to support large-scale enterprise IT and SAP transformation programs across our public sector client portfolio. Candidates accepted into our talent pool are matched to specific engagements with provincial government clients as they arise.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze business domains, processes, and systems; document current and future state
• Lead requirements gathering through interviews, workshops, and process analysis
• Translate business needs into clear business cases, process flows, and use cases
• Conduct GAP analysis (often against SAP functionality) and propose solutions
• Author and maintain Business Requirements Documents, Functional Specifications, and Requirements Traceability Matrices
• Support UAT script development, integration testing, and post-implementation support
• Coordinate with SAP functional/technical teams and system integrators
• Liaise between business stakeholders, IT, and vendor consultants

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Commerce, or equivalent field
• Minimum 5 years of experience working as a Business Analyst
• Minimum 3 years of experience documenting/conducting process re-engineering
• Minimum 2 years of experience writing use cases
• High level of communication, consulting, and client relationship skills
• Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate complex technical and business concepts to both clients and team members
• Ability to obtain a clean criminal record check; enhanced background check may be required

Preferred Qualifications

• Accreditation from a Business Analyst professional association (CBAP, CCBA, IIBA)
• Knowledge of BABOK (Business Analysis Body of Knowledge)
• Experience working on SAP projects (S/4HANA, FICO, MM, SD, HCM modules an asset)
• Prior work in public sector organizations
• Familiarity with Visio, Jira, Confluence, and Agile/Scrum practices
• Knowledge of privacy and compliance frameworks (PHIA, FIPPA, PIPEDA)
• Located in or willing to relocate to / travel onsite to Winnipeg, MB
